Every agent dreams of having an assistant, right? They’re magical people, mysteriously creating more time in our schedules and handling many of the most time-consuming tasks so we don’t have to. But we may not be able to afford an assistant. Even when you can, things take time. They’re not machines, they’re human, so info gathering isn’t instantaneous.
Enter Kelle. She is a machine. Or, more accurately, she’s Keller Williams’ new AI assistant. Think Siri for KW agents.
Kelle (pronounced “Kelle”) is exclusive to realtors working for KW and is rapidly changing the real estate game, allowing KW agents unrivaled insight into the local market. That’s why Kelle was named the Top Real Estate Technology of 2018 by Inman.
Here’s how the official KW Blog describes Kelle:
“What if you could spend less time buried in technology but reap even more benefits from it? Available now in app stores for Apple and Android users, Kelle is an AI-powered personal assistant that can help KW associates do just that…
“‘AI is the next frontier,’ says Josh Team, Keller Williams’ chief innovation officer and one of the masterminds behind Kelle. ‘It’s becoming more mainstream, and it allows us to give more value to our agents and clients in a way that technology hasn’t been able to do before. Kelle will give our agents back valuable time.’”
Get Your Time Back
And what realtor doesn’t want more time?
Let’s be clear: this is a time-consuming business, with most agents regularly working at least some nights and weekends. While we love taking care of our clients, we don’t always love working on deals during our kids’ soccer games or staying up late to research the market.
That’s why Kelle is so powerful. Imagine having the following capabilities at your fingertips:
- Create a referral network of hundreds of agents nationwide to increase your income
- Instantly broadcast a referral to multiple agents or send it to just one
- Find clients nearby (if you’re in the neighborhood or just want to drop off gifts in the area).
- Get area insights/instant neighborhood market reports
- Find out how close you are to meeting your goals
- Discover incredible training content
- And much, much more
Protecting Agent and Client Data
There’s been a lot in the news about “big data” lately, with companies making major mistakes with protecting customers’ data. From the Facebook-Cambridge Analytica scandal to local realtors discovering third-party companies are sharing their data, recent stories are giving us reason to be concerned about what info we share and how.
That’s why Keller Williams has assembled a top-notch team to develop our own AI and other technology in-house. KW is serious about protecting our clients and our agents, and that includes their personal data. So we refuse to rely on third-party companies that may not treat your information with the same care we do.
And, as a privately-owned company, Keller Williams is not responsible to shareholders, so you don’t have to worry about us changing our tune down the road. Instead, KW focuses on our responsibility to stakeholders, the hundreds of thousands of agents who are the reason we exist.
Kelle is still a work in progress, but she’s learning fast. Artificial Intelligence “learns” just like people do: through trial and error and finding things it can’t do. So when KW agents ask Kelle a question she can’t answer, our developers know what to work on.
While Kelle can already do tons of tasks to make our agents’ lives easier, there is even more on the horizon. In the future, agents will be able to access client history and preferences, receive notifications to contact leads and clients, and even get reminders on important dates (like birthdays or home-purchase anniversaries.
The more we’re able to offload these time-consuming task to a digital assistant, the more time we get to spend on the work we love and the people we live for. We can spend time actually helping clients, building our businesses, and loving our friends and families.
